Due to the extra cold temps. I have been finding a lot of damaged exposed sprinkler lines that have frozen solid and then split!

Wow, this is a crazy video. Only possible if the TPR valve was faulty (stuck shut) AND the thermostat on the water heater failed to work. The perfect storm then would create this potential bomb. Scary!

We have had some freezing nights here in Las Vegas with more to come...If you have exposed sprinkler PVC lines or valves like this one, make sure you insulate them so they do not freeze and break! You can buy insulating lines at Lowe's for a few dollars or old towels and rags will work fine.
