Just some of our favorite places near and around Vegas... Most of these are less than an hour and a half away from the city. Cathedral Gorge is about 3 hours away! So interesting to see the many different landscapes of the desert!!!

At just about an hour away from Las Vegas, Willow Beach is the perfect getaway from the city! We rented a boat at the marina and enjoyed the calm waters and seeing Black Canyon. The highlight was finding this cove and hanging out there ourselves! It really felt like our own private beach.

Always a lot of fun at Super Summer Theater! Every Summer, Las Vegas is treated to some outdoor musicals at Spring Mountain Ranch (which is just next to Red Rock Canyon National Park). Perfect place to cool down, have a picnic before the show, and enjoy a musical with awesome views of Red Rock smile! Check out http://supersummertheatre.org/ for shows and showtimes!

Besides the Las Vegas Strip lights, nature lights up the sky close to Red Rock Canyon...

First Friday is an Arts Festival complete with vendors, food trucks, activities, music, performers and a variety of artists! It is celebrated in the Arts District of Downtown Las Vegas. The hub is on Casino Center Blvd in between Colorado St and California St. with an extension on 3rd St and Colorado.

Via Pahrump, Death Valley is only a couple of hours away from Las Vegas! Here, the desert shows off some of its interesting landscapes and beauty. Just don't go during summer, it gets really hot there! I have seen tourists take their own photos showing temperatures over 130 degrees!

What I love about Vegas is that it just keeps on reinventing itself!!! This plan is expected to move forward and I can't wait to see it open to the public! It looks like it is going to be like the Linq, just a lot bigger!!!!
