I was recently interviewed on the Apt.5h podcast show with DJ Self and Bianca. Unsurprisingly, a key topic of our discussion was the influence of technology on DJing. In short, while there are many ways AI can support us practically, it’s essential that we combine technology with human creativity to create true DJ magic. A DJ who relies on AI to cover up their inability to perform the basics, such as mixing by ear, is ultimately devaluing the essence of DJing. #thecityofhiphop

Happy Record Store Day

My profile will be lit in all red for the next 24 hours. I stand in solidarity with the rest of my brothers and sisters in the event/entertainment industry who are out of work due to no fault of our own. Most of us have spent our lives getting to the point to where we can make a living doing what we love to do. The ole "just get a job" doesn't really work here.
We have spent years building our businesses from the ground up. Time, money, more time, more money, and constant grinding has brought us here. If we fail it should be because WE caused the failure and not because we are forced to be shut down without any sort assistance. This is our passion. This is our dream. The American Dream is to do what you love for a living. We have accomplished that, and will continue to make smiles for those that need a smile the most... all of us!

R.I.P Orlando
It is with great sadness that I share the news that over the weekend we lost a brotha and industry legend, Orlando Puerta.

It was Orlando that serviced us so many heaters from Warner Brothers Records, and in 2010 he started Citrusonic.

About 4 years ago i had a couple give me a $1200 deposit for a wedding the families did not see eye to eye they pushed the wedding off then broke up then the wedding was rescheduled then broke up for good
