"Both Joey Lankowski and Kelly W. Patterson of Nevada Cop Block (NVCopBlock.org) and ACAB Radio were arrested and cited on Wednesday for trespassing as dozens of other media outlets who are accepted into the official club did the exact same thing they tried to do. If ever you were unsure of how the establishment feels about independent media, the video below should clear up any doubts.
When police officers get to pick and choose who gets to ask them questions, and deny people 'credentials' for asking real questions, we have a problem. Transparency and accountability are the underpinnings of a free society and when public servants start kidnapping people for upholding these important measures, tyranny is not far behind." - via The Free Thought Project 2.0

About two weeks ago, the crackdown by police on Main St And Foremaster in Downtown Las Vegas began. Our group Water and Solidarity had been going down to Foremaster every single week for months without a problem. We never had an issue with police. The LVMPD had even pulled up one time, saw what we were doing, and never even came over to say a word to us. Not only had we never had a problem with the police, but in all the time that we’ve been doing this we’ve never had an incident with the people there.
Everyone there is always extremely respectful and very grateful. I feel it’s important to point this out because there are many negative stereotypes surrounding people who are unhoused. One of the most common misconceptions is that they are dangerous people. Whether it be with Food Not Bombs Las Vegas or Water and Solidarity, I have NEVER seen this to be true.
So last week, after we heard about the crackdown, a friend and I decided to engage in an act of civil disobedience. We knew the new risks we could potentially be facing and decided to continue with our work anyways because we felt it was our duty. I was cited for parking violations more specifically for parking on a red curb ($100) and for parking in a way that created a “Traffic Hazard” ($100).
But make no mistake about it, this had absolutely NOTHING to do with “public safety” or creating a “pedestrian or traffic hazard.”

On October 27th 2018, LVMPD Officers Cameran Gunn and Buford Kenton fired a total of seven shots at 44-year-old Lloyd Napouk, a mentally ill man who was holding a piece of plastic wrapped in electrical tape. Their justification was that they thought that plastic stick was a machete.
However, once again, this shooting has featured an "evolving storyline" within the official statements by Las Vegas police since the initial reports.

Dash cam and body camera video of Derek Colling, who was previously fired by the LVMPD for excessive force after he was caught on video beating a man legally filming him, was released by the Albany County Sheriff's Office earlier this week. However, that footage cut off prior to his shooting of Robbie Ramirez, an unarmed, mentally ill Wyoming man.
According to ACSO Undersheriff Josh DeBree, Colling's bodycam became unplugged from its battery pack while he was struggling with Ramirez.

Wednesday morning, "coincidentally" right after the election in which Sheriff O'Malley (Dave O'Malley For Sheriff) was re-elected ended, it was officially confirmed that Derek Colling, who was previously fired by the LVMPD for excessive use of force was in fact the Albany County Sheriff's Office (Wyoming) deputy that killed Robbie Ramirez.
Ramirez, an unarmed mentally ill man in Laramie, Wy., is the third person Colling has killed while working as a police officer.
