Isn’t it glorious? It’s fungal hyphae on a bamboo stick about four inches below the surface of a community garden bed we’re cleaning up. Nothing quite enraptures me like fungus in the garden! (It’s so hard to grow here in the desert. But its benefits-- Wow! Imagine soil with an aspiration for the limit of the sky!) That’s all I’ve got to say. The City of Las Vegas 2050 Master Plan (Case 21-0029-GPA1) was unanimously approved by the Planning Commission at its April meeting. The plan will now be heard by the City Council at its June 2, 2021 meeting, beginning at 9:00 AM in the Council Chamber in City Hall (495 S Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89101) – listed as Item 51 on the agenda. The city invites the public and all interested stakeholders to attend publicly or view the meeting online on KCLV Channel 2, Livestream, or City social media. General comments, notes of approval/support, or protests may be sent to [email protected] for inclusion in the record (please list ATTN: City Clerk – City Council 6.2.21, Item 51). If approved, a companion ordinance will be considered for adoption at June and July City Council meetings.
