20 September 2026 | The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) Lebanon conducted a welfare visit to the Filipino community in Zahle and nearby areas to assess the current well-being and concerns of Filipino workers. The activity reached 40 OFWs, providing an opportunity to engage with the community and gather relevant welfare information.

The activity also included a visit to the Lebanon–Syria border area to support evacuation and contingency mapping in the event of a security escalation. The assessment contributed to the MWO’s situational awareness and contingency planning for the safety and protection of OFWs in the area.
