I’m wanting to post this picture to help educate people about smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Detectors have a date stamped on the back of the detector, please take your detector down and check the date on the back. If they are outdated they will not do the job you are expecting them to do to keep your family safe.

Now is also a great time to change the batteries in the detectors. The newer ones now have a 10 year battery so you don’t have to change them all the time.

If you need a detector for your home contact your local fire department and see if they have a detector program where they give you one for FREE!!

Make sure the detectors have the UL rating.

Keep your family safe!!
