I'm Mark Cohen. I’m an Air Force veteran, former federal prosecutor, and agricultural lawyer. I live in the Sandhills and teach karate in Ogallala.
I’m mounting an independent campaign because I'm sick of a two-party system that divides us to distract us from the real problems confronting Nebraskans. I’m tired of extremists and the unhelpful black and white thinking they employ.
You deserve a representative who understands your concerns. I’ve traveled to nearly eighty counties in the past years to gather signatures, and I have had the chance to meet people from Chadron to Falls City and from South Sioux City to McCook. And the one thing they have in common is that all want a government that works for them.
When I tell folks I’m an independent running against Adrian Smith, two-thirds of them ask, “How can I help?” Nebraskans are independent people ready to lead America by sending a true independent to Washington. I don’t take corporate PAC money. I don’t take union PAC money. I don’t take AIPAC money. But my all-volunteer team gathered nearly twice as many signatures as the law requires and had one of the lowest rejection rates, according to the Secretary of State. Because I know how to get things done and I’m blessed with volunteers that are putting country over party.
I’m the only independent in the race. I’ll answer to you — not to a party boss or big corporation.
