🏆️ Congratulations to Minnesota Commissioner Tracy Hudrlik!

At the 2026 Annual Business Meeting, Minnesota Commissioner Tracy Hudrlik was honored with the Executive Chair’s Award, presented annually to a commissioner whose leadership, dedication, and service have made a lasting impact on the Compact.

As Chair of the Rules Committee, Tracy has led one of the most significant rulemaking efforts in the Commission’s history with fairness, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to collaboration.

But what makes Tracy’s leadership especially meaningful is the way she shows up for others. She listens, seeks out different perspectives, helps work through difficult issues, and makes time for the people behind the work.

Her humility, respect for others, and ability to bring people together have earned the trust of Commissioners across the country and helped move the Compact forward.

Thank you, Tracy, for your leadership, your service, and all that you do for the Compact. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! 👏

🏆 Congratulations, Cara Chambers!

At the 2026 Annual Business Meeting, the Commission was honored to present the Peyton Tuthill Award to Wyoming Director of Victim Services Cara Chambers.

Each year, this award recognizes an individual whose dedication to victims, public safety, and collaboration reflects the very best of our profession.

Cara has devoted her career to ensuring victims are heard, protected, and supported. Her leadership has helped drive meaningful change in Wyoming, including the establishment of the state’s Human Trafficking Task Force, support for human trafficking legislation, and the creation of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Task Force.

Through this work, Cara has brought together tribal leaders, law enforcement, and community partners to strengthen collaboration, address critical public safety issues, and provide greater support to victims, families, and communities.

Cara has also been a valued partner to the Interstate Compact, helping strengthen Wyoming’s engagement with the Commission and our shared commitment to protecting victims and promoting safer communities.

Cara, thank you for your leadership, your commitment to victims, and the lasting impact you have made. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! 👏

🏆 Congratulations to Deputy Zachary Bruce of the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office!

Deputy Bruce was honored with the 2026 Spirit of the Compact Award at this year’s Annual Business Meeting.

His commitment to communication and partnership is a great example of what the Spirit of the Compact is all about. Deputy Bruce regularly connects with the Compact office before making transportation plans to confirm that the necessary steps have been completed and that an individual is available for retaking.

That proactive communication has helped build a strong working relationship between Hennepin County, the Compact office, and partner agencies which helps to ensure cases are handled in accordance with Compact rules.

Thank you, Deputy Bruce, for being a great partner and for the work you do to help make the Compact work. Congratulations! 👏
