The Nebraska Department of Banking & Finance has been on a federal stage this month!
On Thursday, May 21, Director Kelly Lammers joined Governor Jim Pillen, United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Scott Turner, Omaha Mayor John Ewing, State Senator Mike Jacobson and other prominent leaders for a Mortgage Affordability Roundtable in Omaha, followed by a tour of the Highlander Accelerator neighborhood, and an Opportunity Zones and Workforce Housing listening session in Fremont.
Gov. Pillen expressed gratitude for the Secretary's visit and the efforts to lift Americans into prosperity and opportunity. “By addressing mortgage affordability, highlighting Opportunity Zones, and investing in our workforce, HUD is taking action to strengthen communities and help families fulfill the American dream of owning a home,” said Gov. Pillen.
