It’s going to be a hot one, Lincoln!
If you need a break from the heat, Lincoln City Libraries branches are open during regular hours. Whether you’d like to read, use a computer, attend a program, or simply enjoy a cool place to sit for a while, we’re here for you.
We could see the warmest temperatures of the season so far, this Tuesday and Wednesday. While exactly how hot it gets will depend on how much cloud cover we see, there is the potential for Heat Indices in the low 100s. Now is the time to make plans for extreme heat, especially if you have outdoor plans.

You may have spotted us out and about around Lincoln last weekend! We were at Archie’s birthday party at Morrill Hall, the Saltdogs game, the International Quilt Museum, and the Highlands Aquatics Center.
We love connecting with our community wherever we go, and summer is just getting started. Keep an eye out for Lincoln City Libraries at events across the city all season long!

Thanks to our friends at Edgerton Explorit Center, kids tested their owl vision, handled real feathers and wings, and met some impressive birds up close.
Catch this wild, educational experience today from 2:30–3:15 p.m. at Eiseley Branch Library!
Join us Friday evening on June 5 at the Saltdogs game for Summer Reading Challenge Kick-Off Night!
You can sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge to get your tickets, then arrive early to say hello, and stay for the fireworks after the game!
And stay tuned...later this summer, Saltdogs players and Homer will be visiting our libraries for special Storytimes!
Learn more and sign up: https://www.lincolnlibraries.org/programs-and-events/summer-reading-challenge/
If you can't make Friday's game, tickets can be exchanged after Friday for a different Saltdogs game later in the season.

What happens when three dinosaurs discover disco?
A whole lot of stomping, flapping, roaring, and dancing!
We had a fun prehistoric party at Club Eiseley, where young dinos made party favors, showed off their best dance moves, and boogied to tunes from DJ Dino. Thanks to everyone who joined the fun!
