While California Freedom Summer has come to an end, the work continues‼️ Some of our students had the opportunity to talk to local news outlets about the work they did and some of the results the hope to see (and we did see as we saw record breaking voting numbers among young people in the midterm election!). 🗳💪🏽

California Freedom Summer students from all across the state spent a week away from home at building community and helping put together future research for youth civic engagement. Thank you to everyone who showed out this past week.🌟🙌

This past week we held our two-day UCLA Conference Conference where we were able to bring together all the California Freedom Summer interns from across the state!
Interns were able to participate in various activities including workshops, movement-building within their regions, civic engagement exercises, and healing exercises. 📝🧘
We are excited to see what the interns were able to take out of this conference and apply it to their respective regions. 💫

One of our partner organizations, is hosting a one day youth summit!

Our Sacramento team, organizing with , have been working tirelessly to pass a city council proposal that would place a measure on the ballot for a Sacramento Children’s Fund for the voters to decide.
