Dodger Stadium, during Mexican Heritage Night, Dolores Huerta is throwing out the first pitch.

For months, we tried to reach out before this moment. We sent letters. Messages. Made calls. We asked for one thing: solidarity with the descendants of Palo Verde, La Loma, and Bishop — the three Mexican communities violently displaced for Dodger Stadium.

Our families picked fields to buy that land during segregation. My family was dragged from their home on May 8, 1959.

So this is the question: what does solidarity actually mean?

Because you cannot celebrate brown culture while ignoring brown displacement. You cannot claim to stand with immigrant communities while remaining silent about investments connected to ICE and surveillance systems harming those same communities.

And this conversation is bigger than one person. Right now, many brown influencers, organizations, and public figures are being challenged about transparency, political accountability, and who they ultimately serve.

Our communities deserve better than symbolism.

We deserve truth.
We deserve accountability.
And Palo Verde, La Loma, and Bishop deserve to be named.

Memorial Day our families served in the military only to come home and have their communities violently destroyed and generational wealth stolen.

Tomorrow Dodgers corporation will celebrate " Mexican Heritage Night " No Apology, No Acknowledgement, and No Reparations for the familias
