On February 26, 2026, the Southern Division Commercial Unit conducted a highly productive Commercial enforcement detail in the CHP Baldwin Park and CHP Santa Fe Springs Areas.
Our officers’ focused enforcement and inspection efforts resulted in:
• 177 citations issued
• 132 commercial vehicle inspections conducted
• 37 vehicles placed out of service
• 6 drivers placed out of service
• 6 vehicles impounded
Commercial vehicle enforcement plays a critical role in preventing crashes caused by unsafe equipment, fatigued driving, and regulatory violations. When vehicles or drivers are placed out of service, it is done to prevent potential tragedies before they occur.
If you operate a commercial vehicle, conduct thorough pre-trip inspections, ensure your equipment meets safety standards, and follow hours-of-service regulations. Safe roads are everyone’s responsibility.
Thank you to our dedicated personnel for their professionalism and continued commitment to public safety.
