Please be informed that the Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM) has officially launched the Malaysian Islamic Marriage Management System (SPPIM), effective 17 April 2026.

✨ SPPIM was developed to facilitate and improve the management of Islamic marriage and family affairs nationwide.

Through SPPIM, the following online services are now available:

✅ Application for Islamic Pre-Marriage Course
✅ Marriage Application
✅ Registration of Marriage, Divorce & Reconciliation (Rujuk)
✅ Application for Counseling / Advisory Services

Consular Advisories

On 5 May 2026, Mdm Wan Nurshima Wan Jusoh, Consul General, paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Rachel Washington, Regional Director of the Office of Foreign Missions, Los Angeles.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on matters of mutual interest and to reaffirm the continued cooperation between the Consulate and the Office of Foreign Missions. Both sides also discussed ongoing efforts to facilitate the work of foreign missions and to further strengthen institutional engagement.

The Consul General expressed her appreciation for the support extended by the Office of Foreign Missions and looked forward to continued collaboration.

COURTESY CALL BY THE CONSUL GENERAL OF MALAYSIA ON THE CONSUL GENERAL OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA IN LOS ANGELES

On 5 May 2026, Mdm Wan Nurshima Wan Jusoh, Consul General of Malaysia in Los Angeles, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Purnomo A. Chandra, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Los Angeles, at the latter’s office.

During the meeting, both Consuls General held constructive discussions on matters of mutual interest, including the promotion of bilateral trade and investment, tourism, education, cultural cooperation, and the welfare of Malaysian and Indonesian nationals residing within the consular jurisdiction. The Malaysian delegation was also given a tour of the Consulate General, including visits to the Consular Section and Trade Section, where they were briefed on the key functions and services provided by the Mission.

The meeting underscored the shared commitment of Malaysia and Indonesia to further advancing bilateral cooperation and maintaining close coordination on issues of common interest. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration in support of the broader Malaysia–Indonesia partnership.

On 30 April 2026, Mdm Wan Nurshima Wan Jusoh, Consul General, received a courtesy call from Mr. Evan G. Reade, International Affairs Advisor at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Sacramento.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on strengthening international partnerships, enhancing bilateral cooperation, and exploring avenues for deeper engagement on matters of mutual interest.

The Consulate looks forward to continued dialogue and closer collaboration in the future.
