Today, I had the honor of attending the Badge Pinning Ceremony hosted by the Arcadia Fire Department, alongside my colleagues Paul Cheng, Dr. Michael Cao, and David Fu.

Congratulations to all of the newly promoted firefighters, new hires, and ambulance operators who proudly received their badges today. This meaningful ceremony represents not only professional achievement, but also a solemn commitment to serve, protect, and care for our community.

Thank you for choosing to serve the residents of Arcadia. Our city is safer and stronger because of your courage, dedication, and sacrifice. Every call you answer and every life you touch makes a lasting difference for our families.

On behalf of our City Council and the entire community, we are deeply grateful for your service. Welcome to the Arcadia family — and congratulations on this important milestone.

Today, we honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and nonviolence continues to shape our nation and our communities. Dr. King’s leadership reminds us that progress is achieved through service, mutual respect, and civic responsibility. As a community, we reflect on his enduring message and recommit ourselves to building an inclusive city where every resident is valued and has the opportunity to thrive. By working together with understanding and compassion, we help carry forward his vision of unity and justice for all. God bless America. 🇺🇸

Today marks 24 years since the tragic events of September 11, 2001. On that day, our nation endured unimaginable loss and grief. Thousands of innocent lives were taken, families were forever changed, and our sense of security as a country was profoundly shaken.

As we gather in remembrance, let us honor the memory of every victim and recognize the courage of first responders, service members, and ordinary citizens who displayed extraordinary bravery. Their selfless actions remind us that even in the darkest of times, the American spirit of resilience and unity shines through.

September 11th is not only a day of reflection but also a call to reaffirm our commitment to justice, peace, and compassion. It is a solemn reminder that no one should ever be a target of violence, and that we must continue to work together to protect the freedoms and values that define our nation. 🇺🇸

Today, as the Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Arcadia, I extend my deepest prayers to the families who lost loved ones, and to all who continue to carry the weight of that day. May we never forget their sacrifice, and may we continue to stand together as one nation, united in strength, faith, and hope. 🕯🇺🇸 May God bless the United States of America for 🇺🇸 !

I feel deeply saddened by the loss of Charlie Kirk, Founder and President of Turning Point USA. As a prominent voice in our national conversation, his contributions impacted so many. In this moment of mourning, I join countless others in sending my prayers to his family during this time of grief—and for the strength and unity of our country as we navigate the days ahead.

No one should ever be allowed to become a target of violence against anyone, and we must stand together to reject such acts in all forms. God bless America 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸!

Dear Arcadian: To improve safety for both pedestrians and drivers, ‘No Right Turn on Red’ arrows have been installed at various intersections in Arcadia.
Unlike a solid red light, which allows drivers to turn right when it’s safe, a red arrow indicates that right turns are not permitted.
For more information and to find out where these red arrows are located, visit ArcadiaCA.gov/RedArrowSafety. Questions can be directed to the Engineering Division at (626) 574-5411.

My sincere thanks to the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women Southern California Chapter for the kind invitation. This event not only highlighted the richness of Taiwanese culture but also created meaningful connections between the elected officials and local community.
