On Tuesday, October 28th, the CDC hosted its official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, marking the grand opening of The CURVE at West Angeles Senior Living Affordable Apartments and its brand-new CDC Wellness Center at 54th & Crenshaw.

It was a truly glorious day, filled with community dignity and the presence of local residents, civic leaders, political representatives, and long-time supporters who share our vision of building a healthier, stronger South Los Angeles. 💙

The West Angeles CDC hosted its annual CDC HEALTH FAIR on Saturday, October 25th. Many health care providers were in attendance offering free services to the community including UCLA Health, MLK Community Healthcare, Chronic Care Management Group, Allied Health Solutions, Wellnest Health, InnovAge Pace and more…

The West Angeles CDC, was present at the CALIFORNIA INSTITUTE OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SOLUTIONS (CIBHS) Conference this past week. Keynote Speakers were Activist and Professor Emerita at the University of California, Angela Davis, and Dr. Thelma Bryant, Professor of Psychology, Graduate School of Psychology at Pepperdine University. This conference brought together a passionate community of health professionals that hosted a series of seminars to advance effective healthcare for the communities we serve.

COLUMBIA BANK, Our new community partners coming to the Crenshaw Corridor. THE West Angeles CDC hosted Columbia Bank Executives for their HUD Counseling Summit recently at the CDC offices in Los Angeles.

Thanks to the Boeing Company for their generous donation to the West Angeles CDC to help victims of the recent Wildfires.
