An entrepreneurial leadership program for progressive young professionals. NLC is shaping America's future by developing tomorrow's leaders today.

NLC Los Angeles, a chapter of New Leaders Council, provides emerging leaders with training, mentoring, networking, and job placement opportunities that equip them to be civic leaders, not only for elective office, but also in their communities and workplaces. Recognizing that a truly progressive movement is inclusive and empowering, NLC makes a special effort to recruit people from outside the usual power structures.

Fighting the June Gloom in LA is easy when you fight for a new kind of leader. Every day we fight to create inclusive and diverse brave spaces, we fight to make sure new ideas grow and are heard, we fight to ensure the names of our leaders are said and uplifted at the table.

Whatever you fight for from reproductive justice to more green spaces to worker’s right and disability rights, we stand with you.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our event this past Saturday.

Did you see our big announcement? You may remember the legendary Heroes at Villains and Ping Pong Progressives events from pre-pandemic days. Well, we're excited to introduce our newest signature event: Fighting June Gloom.

You don't want to miss this party with a purpose on Saturday June 8th from 5-7 at Audio Graph Brewing Co. The best way to fight the June Gloom in LA is to work towards a bright future when we invest in place-based leaders. From fighting for equal pay and workers' rights to climate justice and affordable housing, this event will celebrate the work of the people in our community who fight every day for a better LA, and re-energize ourselves to keep fighting the good fight.

WE FIGHT FOR A NEW KIND OF LEADER, WHAT DO YOU FIGHT FOR?

New Leaders Council is beyond excited to announce our 2024 Institute Fellows. Across the country, this cohort continues to represent the change we need to see in the world.

After six months, they will culminate in June 2024 with capstone projects that will transform their communities and join the ranks of over 12,000 alumni from across the country.

The faces of NLC LA are diverse. They are cross-sector leaders. They are cross-industry leaders. They are elected leaders.

They are dedicated to expanding healthcare access for all.

They are working to uplift the voices of the Jewish community in and around Los Angeles.

They are protecting the rights of working people.

They are organizing on behalf of college faculty and to expand student housing opportunities.

They are working to ensure representation for communities of color and AAPI communities in LA.

It doesn’t stop there, our community is growing. Stay tuned to meet the newest faces of the NLC LA community when they are announced later this week.
