Ms. Coco and the moms of Angeles House were blessed to attend New Congregational Missionary Baptist Churchโ€™s Prayer Breakfast, along with Tisa Hill, Youth Program Manager, and Sheila Young, Mental Health Manager at Union Rescue Mission.

It was a beautiful morning of prayer, encouragement, and fellowship as we asked for Godโ€™s provision over the lives of those we serve โ€” and those still to come through our doors.

The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was full of life and joy, and our hearts were truly grateful. Thank you, New Congregational Missionary Baptist Church, for your warm welcome and faithful partnership.

We are so proud of a dedicated group of Union Rescue Mission guests from our Hope Gardens and Angeles House recovery programs who are nearing completion of the Machining CNC Certificate of Specialization at College of the Canyons.

This certificate prepares students for CNC programming careers in the automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing industries โ€” with opportunities to become CNC machinists, CNC lathe operators, production machinists, or CNC programmers.

With a 90% hire rate for certificate holders and jobs that can provide a livable wage, this program is opening doors to stability, opportunity, and a brighter future.

Weโ€™re so proud of their hard work and grateful for our partnership with College of the Canyons.

Today, we pause to remember those who gave their lives in service to our country.
Because of their sacrifice, we live with freedoms we should never take for granted, such as the freedom to speak, to worship, to gather, to vote, to seek change, and to live with hope for a better tomorrow.

On Memorial Day, Union Rescue Mission remembers and honors those who gave everything so that others could live free.

Today, we thank God for their courage, remember their sacrifice, and pray for the families who carry their legacy.
