After 40 years of committed public service, is retiring! From the time she was a teacher, to her historic and impactful service on the Board of Education, to her work on the City Council and State Assembly, she’s always had kids’ best interest at heart. I’m grateful for our time as deputies together (her for Supervisor Molina and me for Supervisor Antonivich), for her legacy, and for her friendship.

Huntington Park High School’s Drama Club performed Ramon y Julietta. Dr. April Parker, Theater Arts CTE teacher explained that it’s a deconstruction of the classic play written by a former Spartan during the COVID 19 online learning days.

This interpretation of the classic feud focused on maskers vs anti-maskers and follows the tragic love story of teens trapped in an on-going futile argument that dooms their happiness and ultimately costs their lives.
