The day has finally arrived - ballots for the DNC election are in our mailboxes! I am #4 on the ballot and I would be honored to earn one of your votes.

I am a Democrat because I believe that we can - and must - do better for all, including the most vulnerable in our midst. We must protect our planet, fight for workers and take care of those in need. I am a Democrat because we are the Party that cares for one another.

Right now, it is more important than ever that we speak to voters about what we as Democrats stand for and give them a vision that provides contrast to the travesty of the current presidency.

As a united and active DNC delegation, we can continue to work to create a Party that is more responsive to the grassroots, push for greater transparency from our leadership to restore trust in the DNC and fight to ensure our shared progressive values are reflected in our platform.

We must unite together to take on the menace that is Trump and bring decency and empathy back to the White House. I have a track record as an active, engaged and committed Democrat and I hope that I can earn your vote to continue this work on behalf of our California Democrats.

Thank you Los Angeles County Democratic Party members for voting to endorse me for re-election to the DNC. I’m humbled and grateful for the support. As I said tonight, we are Democrats because we care about one another and creating a better world. Our Party needs to be the voice of our values. That it’s why rebuilding trust in the DNC must be a priority. We do that through transparency, integrity in the process and a message that captures the hearts of our fellow Americans. I hope to have the opportunity to continue playing a role in helping our Party and ensure that its message resonates with those who feel disempowered or overlooked.
