Officers were dispatched to the above location in response to unknown circumstances. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male deceased at the rear of the complex. A protective sweep was conducted. Officers located a deceased male juvenile inside an apartment. A female juvenile and an adult female were also found inside the apartment, both suffering from severe head injuries. The two surviving victims were transported to a local hospital for further medical treatment.

There are no outstanding suspects, and there is no danger to the community. Montebello Police Department Detectives are investigating this crime, and the investigation is ongoing.

Yesterday we had the ribbon-cutting ceremony and ceremonial first pitch to mark the reopening of the newly renovated City Park Baseball Field. The renovation project was funded through a combination of Measure A Annual Allocation funds and General Fund appropriations. The upgrades have provided aesthetic enhancements and improved functionality for this highly utilized recreational facility. Key improvements include the installation of new bleachers, outfield fencing, upgraded irrigation systems,concrete surfacing, and new professional grade outfield turf. Subsurface dugouts were removed and replaced with above-ground, ADA-accessible dugouts to improve safety and accessibility.
