This month, we're highlighting the reflections of IILA staff on the importance of their work with the immigrant community. Some will share memorable moments. Others will honor the impact they've made in general.

As we celebrate Immigrant Heritage Month, we offer each of these reflections as small acts of resistance as the immigrant community continues to be vilified, scapegoated, and persecuted. We'll share these reflections alongside the regular opportunities for action and key headlines that we reshare and publish. Stay tuned for more.

IILA is honored to share a special message from our President and CEO, Cambria Tortorelli, for Immigrant Heritage Month (June). Today and throughout the month, IILA calls particular attention to the contributions of the immigrant community to our individual and collective histories, as well as our future well-being. We know that freedom and justice for immigrants in the United States is linked to the liberation of all people, as are all fights for justice.

To remember IILA's history of work with the immigrant and refugee communities of the Greater LA area, we'll be sharing meaningful memories this month from IILA staff of walking alongside our newest neighbors. Please share these moments as a way to uplift the impact of service to newcomers, honor their contributions to our communities, and resist anti-immigrant sentiments.
