Huge Thank you! to all of our family and friends for supporting and contributing to our previous projects. These mural projects take on an Asset Based Community Development methodology to demonstrate what individuals in neighborhoods like South Central can accomplish by using their assets and working together.

As you all may know the recent earthquake in Mexico has affected thousands of individuals including folks in the Mixtecs regions of Mexico. La Communidad Mixteca de Los Angeles partnered with PAINT-LA and Womyn on Walls for a Relief-Aid Drive.
We will be accepting donations this weekend;
Saturday, Sept. 23rd & Sunday, Sept. 24th, 2017
Time: 10am-7pm
Where: 2512 S. Central Ave. Los Angeles, CA.

Items Needed include :
Canned Food, Baby food, cereal in bags, lamps, flashlights, Batteries, rain coats, boots, whistles, first-aid kits, electrolyte water, camping gear (canopies, tents) etc.
AND
MONETARY donation to help for shipping cost and buy items in Mexico like blankets and tarps (made in Mexico )

About the area: The Mixteca Poblana region includes small towns/municipalities in Puebla, Mexico (Matamoros and surrounding municipalities) that have had little to NO contact by government authorities or rescue teams.
Your donation will help our brothers and sisters victims of this natural disaster. We have contact information from trusted family members in the region and relationships with local leaders from local organizations and officials. YOUR DONATION IS SECURE!

* Are you Interested in P.A.I.N.T.- L.A.'s entrepreneurial opportunities? Are you a developing artist that would you like to create public art in your community and are over the age of 15?

If so, P.A.I.N.T. - L.A. currently has openings for its Business Improvement Program, a 6-week series of entrepreneurial workshops including pre-employment, financial literacy, civic engagement and Mural design and implementation trainings. Participants will have the opportunity to gain instructive hands-on experience related to organizing, planning and creating public art.
