On October 15, CSB personnel assisted with the evacuation of Civic Center buildings in Downtown Los Angeles as part of the Great ShakeOut earthquake preparedness drill. Working alongside Los Angeles County personnel, CSB helped facilitate an organized evacuation and reinforce the importance of being prepared for emergencies.

Preparedness starts with knowing what to do when an emergency strikes. Taking time to review evacuation procedures and create an emergency plan can help keep you and your loved ones safe.

Are you ready for the next big earthquake?

Los Angeles County is taking earthquake preparedness seriously, and so should we!

Los Angeles County employees and visitors at Grand Park recently had the opportunity to experience a simulated 7.0 magnitude earthquake aboard the Big Shaker, a mobile earthquake simulator, while learning the importance of emergency preparedness.

The event served as an important reminder that earthquakes can strike at any time. Take a few minutes to create an emergency plan, build an emergency kit, and talk with your loved ones about what to do when the shaking starts.

We can't predict the next earthquake, but we can prepare for it. Stay informed, stay prepared.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department at the 3rd Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration!

CSB was proud to be part of this special event celebrating Hispanic culture, heritage, and community. Sheriff Robert G. Luna welcomed everyone, with guest speaker Nathan Hochman and keynote speaker Oswaldo Borraez, Emmy and Peabody Award-winning journalist and former Univision 34 Los Angeles news anchor.

County-wide Services Division brought together personnel from the County Services Bureau, Community College Bureau, Park Bureau, and COPS Bureau for a day of hands-on training at the vacant La Puente Mall.

CSB was out having a little fun while checking out the latest less-lethal technology at the 2nd Annual Less Lethal Expo, hosted by the Los Angeles Police Department on August 6th at the LAPD Elysian Park Academy.

The expo brought together law enforcement and security professionals to learn about new tools, equipment, and technology designed to provide additional options in the field.

County Services Bureau was proud to provide security for the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Urban Search and Rescue Team (USA-2) as they returned home from an 11-day deployment to Venezuela following a devastating earthquake.

The team was recognized for their outstanding efforts and dedication while assisting with search and rescue operations. Welcome home, USA-2, and thank you for your service and commitment to helping those in need.

This past Saturday, County Services Bureau was proud to help ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration at Grand Park as the community came together for the Fourth of July and America's 250th Birthday.
