And this month, it’s flying high over every single LA County facility, including the where we raised it this morning.
Grateful to have partners like Whittier Mayor and in the fight to build a world where everyone can live authentically and without fear.
In Whittier and across LA County, we are proud to stand with—and fight for—our LGBTQ+ community.
It was an honor to kick off Pride Month today by raising the Pride Flag at our alongside Whittier Mayor and . Together we are celebrating a month dedicated to visibility, equality, and most importantly— love. 🏳️🌈

There are few places that feel more like the heart of San Pedro than the ’s Friday Fish Luncheons—and today I joined to commemorate Croatian American Heritage Month. 🇭🇷
I was honored to speak at the ’s celebration for their graduating seniors this week. But I’ll be honest, I’m not sure who left more inspired— them or me!
It was incredible to hear from these students about the impact the Boys & Girls Club has had on their lives, and how they hope to pay it forward in their next chapter.

You’ve gotta show up and you’ve gotta vote! Across LA County, Vote Centers are open and Ballot Drop Boxes are ready for you to make your voice heard in the June 2 primary.
You can mail or drop off your ballot, or vote in person at any Vote Center in the County. Many are already open, and all the others will open this Saturday and stay open right through Election Day on Tuesday.

LA County Parks is hosting a Youth Fishing Derby on Saturday, June 6, at Don Knabe Park in Cerritos.
Kids ages 5-15 are invited to come learn how to fish and compete for prizes. Be sure to bring your own fishing pole!

As we mark Memorial Day, I hope we can all take a moment and reflect on the sacrifice that our fallen service members made to defend our freedom.
My heart is with all of our service members, and with those who know the pain of losing a loved one who was defending our nation.

As part of LA County’s recognition of Asian American and Pacific Islander Month, is hosting a Flores de Mayo event in Don Knabe Park in Cerritos next Saturday, May 31.

This ethics commission is a basic check on our government— and we have it now because of the voters who approved Measure G.
