Sesame oil is one of the key ingredients in Ayurvedic treatment. We find has very useful tips. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

According to Ayurveda, one of the most important holistic self-care practices that encourages internal detoxification is Nasya. The therapy consists is the application of 3 drops of warm sesame oil in each nostrils.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The nose is considered the direct route to the brain and also the doorway to consciousness. Therefore the administration of Nasya improves intelligence and memory. It is the entrance for prana, the vital life force, which comes into the body through the breath. Healthy uncongested breathing is important to ensure proper flow of prana throughout the head and body. When an excess of bodily fluids accumulates in the sinus, throat, nose, or head areas, it is best eliminated through the nose. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nasya helps to lubricate the nasal passages and clean out excess mucus from the sinuses. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Warning: Do not use if you are pregnant, on your period or have a cold, flu or sinus infection.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Warm organic cold pressed Sesame oil soothes and protects the nasal passage while nourishing the tissues. Daily nasal lubrication helps to release tension in the head and relieve accumulated stress.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Steps: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Put the dropper bottle in a container with hot water until the bottle is warm. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Lay down, tilt your head back, close one nostril and while inspire deeply, apply three drops of warm sesame oil. Massage your face with upwards movements. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Repeat with the other nostril. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. You will need a tissue for the next few minutes to discard the oil and mucus that will be expelled through your mouth. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Soba Noodles in Ginger-Tahini Almond Butter Sauce with edamame, corn and cabbage 🍃🌿

Hi friends! Happy Friday! This week flew by for me, and I'm still not sure if that was good or bad 😅 Either way, I'm ready to relax and spend some family time. We have a mostly quiet weekend ahead, and I am definitely here for that! Sharing a simple and nourishing noodle bowl that serves about 2. This would be great for a meal prep or to make extra and have for leftovers! 🍃🌿

2 cups cooked soba noodles
1/2 cup edamame
1/2 cup thinly sliced red cabbage
1/2 cup corn
Cilantro, sesame seeds, scallions for serving
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Stir together in a bowl:
2 tsp tamari
2 tsp ginger paste
1 tbsp tahini
1 tbsp almond butter
2 tsp sambal (or chili garlic sauce)
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp agave
1 tsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp water
