The Faith & Health Luncheon, hosted by Alzheimer’s Los Angeles in partnership with the West Angeles Church Counseling Center, brought the community together earlier this month for an uplifting afternoon of inspiration, education, and support.
With more than 400 RSVPs and registration closing early, the event reflected a powerful commitment to faith, health, and hope within our community.
We are deeply grateful to the community organizations, faith leaders, and health experts whose partnership made this gathering possible. Together, they shared practical guidance on the connection between blood pressure, blood sugar, stroke, and Alzheimer’s risk—while equipping individuals and families with tools to support both brain and heart health.
Most importantly, the luncheon reinforced the importance of supporting individuals living with Alzheimer’s and the caregivers who walk alongside them every day.
Continued investment in programs like this helps expand awareness, increase access to education and resources, and strengthen support for the Black/African American community.
💜 Together, we are building healthier, more informed, and more connected communities.

Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish. It’s essential.
💡 Start with one small step today:
✔ Step outside for a few minutes of fresh air
✔ Reach out to someone you trust
✔ Give yourself permission to rest
At Alzheimer’s Los Angeles, we offer free support groups, resources, and guidance to help you navigate every stage of caregiving.
