Proud to share that my bill , the High-Road Jobs & Workforce Training Act, has passed the Assembly Floor and now moves to the Senate. Frontline workers are essential to our economy and deserve clear career pathways that provide true upward economic mobility. Thank you to , and for your support!

We’re proud to share that , the High-Road Jobs & Workforce Training Act introduced by Democratic Caucus Chair, Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur, has advanced out of the California State Assembly with bipartisan support and now heads to the Senate. The bill - strongly supported by the HTA, SEIU California and Building Skills Partnership- strengthens California’s workforce development investments by prioritizing High-Road Training Partnership (HRTP) funding for programs rooted in labor-management collaboration and strong job standards.
HTA Executive Director Adine Forman testified at the California State Assembly Committee on Labor & Employment hearing in support of this important bill -
“AB2634 ensures that state investments support workforce programs that deliver training with a clear pipeline to employment. This bill is timely as global events drive demand for a skilled hospitality workforce, essential to being a world-class host. We urge passage of AB2634 to strengthen critical industries that can’t be shipped overseas, expand access to good union jobs with benefits, and build a more resilient, inclusive economy.”
Our deep thanks to Assemblymember Zbur for his leadership and collaboration in support of labor-management partnership and high-quality workforce development programs.
