May is National Foster Care Month đź’™
This month, we recognize the strength, resilience, and potential of children and youth in foster care, while honoring the foster parents, kinship caregivers, social workers, advocates, and communities who support them every day.
At Wayfinder Family Services, we believe every child deserves safety, stability, connection, and the opportunity to thrive. Through compassionate programs and support services, we work alongside families and caregivers to help create brighter futures for children across our communities.
Join us this month as we raise awareness, celebrate caregivers, and continue advocating for youth and families impacted by foster care.

This past weekend, California’s first blind/low vision tennis tournament in partnership with USTA Southern California, bringing the blind and low vision community together to compete, connect, and have fun.
Adaptive sports do more than level the playing field—they build strength, independence, and confidence. They also shift perspectives, proving that ability goes far beyond limitations.
Moments like this matter. They open doors, build community, and make sure everyone has a chance to play.

Our 2nd Annual Goalball Tournament was one for the books.
Goalball, a sport designed for individuals who are blind or visually impaired, brought incredible competition, teamwork, and spirit to the court.
Congratulations to our very own women’s team, Phoenix Wayfinders, for taking first place in the women’s division. You represented with skill, determination, and heart.
Shoutout to San Diego Echo for securing first place in the men’s division — a well-deserved win.
Thank you to all the teams, volunteers, and supporters who made this event possible. Your effort, sportsmanship, and energy made it truly special.
We’re already looking forward to next year.
