One-legged climb on a 5.7. Getting stronger. It's very difficult but I'm getting the hang of it. As long as the climb is pretty straight up and not too heavily weighted to the left leg In doing ok. Just so happy to be on the wall in any fashion! Thank you for great coaching, tight (!) belaying and cheerleading in my fave place

A bit of a jarring hike at Limekiln today. I haven’t been back since the Saddleridge Fire. This little canyon is near Tampa and Rinaldi and I didn’t realize how badly it had burned. The black is all the charred earth and wood and blackened hillsides. You can still smell burned wood everywhere. A few spots of green where there is some new growth popping up or random trees and shrubs that survived. A very post-apocalyptic walk today. My friend Hanit and I were definitely taken by surprise. She dug into the earth to see how deep the charring went and got down several inches till she found clean earth. @ Limekiln Canyon Park

Soo this is how this Canadian/American gal celebrates Thanksgiving... Gelson's Turkey in a box (!) is seriously delish and far superior to anything I could dream up. Plus I'm a bit keen on time saving (aka busy!). Thankful for all my friends and family and especially for precious time with my kidlet. Eat hearty, love those you love with gusto. Be kind to animals. Give thanks. xo

A stunning day climbing at Fairview Mountain in Apple Valley Crags yesterday. Super fun crew. Great climbing. And Linda played hostess with the mostest sharing her love of this spectacular place with us. More pix to follow. Started off at Jabba crag and chased the sun. I met a baby rattler (scared the bejeebies out of me) and enjoyed beautiful poetry in this utterly poetic place. Everyone climbed beautifully. Long hike in and long hike out, so my ankle is protesting a bit this morning, but a wonderful day with great peeps! ... And sorry Leon... Don't have your IG!

A little too dicey to climb outdoors with the fires and wind advisories so Kris and I met up at Stronghold. This is us being strong! Super fun climbs. Great routes. All in all a terrific day.
