This morning I was pleased to attend the opening of the new Wisconsin Early Autism Project learning center in Greenfield. This will be a great community resource to support families with a new autism diagnosis in children 18 months - 4 years.

Last year, Wisconsin created a new office called Film Wisconsin. The goal was to bring movie and tv show filming to our great state. One of the first films to get our new film tax credit was Ueck, the story of our beloved Bob Uecker. I look forward to continuing to support this effort and seeing what great entertainment we can bring to and create in our state.

A massive fire broke out at a future DPW building near near S. 53rd Street and W. Rogers Avenue just before 11 a.m. on Thursday with several construction workers still on the building's roof as the fire grew. More in our link in comments.

I had a great visit to the YMCA summer day camp in Wilson Park.

I will always advocate for robust community support of childcare and summer programs. Our children our the future and we should ensure they are in safe and enriching environments.

I'm so proud to have earned a 100% score card from the Wisconsin Conservation Voters. Protecting the environment for Wisconsinites today and in the future is one of the most important promises we owe as elected leaders. The smoke this week shows the danger of climate change and the role we all play in taking care of each other.

I had a great time touring the Aurora West Allis Hospital with my friend Representative Angelito Tenorio. We are so lucky to have one of the largest birthing centers in Wisconsin here in our community. I look forward to working with my colleagues and the industry to tackle medical affordability and access.
