Graduation is almost here! While we want everyone to have a good time, it is important for parents to be aware of the laws regarding underage drinking. In NH not only is supplying alcohol to minors illegal, but adults are also responsible for any underage drinking in their home. According to NH RSA 644:18: A person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor if such person owns or has control of a home (occupied structure, dwelling or curtilage) where a drug or underage alcohol house party is held and such person knowingly commits an overt act in furtherance of the occurrence of the drug or underage alcohol house party knowing persons under the age of 21 possess or intend to consume alcoholic beverages or use controlled drugs at such drug or underage alcohol house party.

We have new BPD Autism Awareness and Support patches!

Patches are available for $5. All proceeds go to the Special Olympics New Hampshire Fundraiser for the USA Games this summer and towards next year's Winni Dip.

Graduation is a time to celebrate. Before your high school seniors begin their parties, we ask parents take the time to talk with them about keeping events alcohol-free—it just may save a life. No amount of underage drinking is legal or safe. And we know that underage drinking can lead to consuming too much alcohol, which may result in poor decisions, injuries, alcohol overdose, and possibly death. We want to see everyone make it to graduation. Help your kids celebrate responsibly.

Bedford Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance identifying the male pictured regarding a theft from a Motor vehicle near Bedford Heritage Trail on 5/21/2026, 2026 at about 1045AM, the male stole multiple cards from a vehicle and proceeded to make purchases at Target and Bass Pro Shop
