I have been working in a law office for the past 7 years. While working for a law office I have found a love for document preparation and legal work. I decided in 2023 that I would focus on becoming a Louisiana Notary, and here I am. Commissioned as of January of 2024, I am here to serve Avoyelles, Rapides and Grant for all Notary needs.

I recently made a post regarding valid Louisiana Last Will and Testaments. After making that post, I have been contacted by several people asking questions, and worried about the Will they already have in place. Let me state that I am not an attorney and cannot give legal advice, but I can share with you the requirements of a Louisiana Notarial Testament, what it should include, how it should be signed, etc. Let me share this information... EVERY part of the Will has strict requirements of form and formalities with its ex*****on such as the dispositive portion, the signature of the testator, the date, the attestation clause, and the signatures of the witnesses and Notary. Any inconsistencies or errors could cause your Will to be invalid in part or in full. Finding a notary or attorney who is familiar and up to date with these laws is so IMPORTANT! Don't be fooled by thinking you have to pay high prices with an Attorney to have a valid Will drawn up- I've even seen attorneys leave out or fail to include important requirements. I take this very seriously and do my absolute best to stay up to date on the requirements, meet with my clients to ensure that I understand their wishes clearly, and give my full attention to detail to deliver you a valid Last Will and Testament. 🖋️Why is it so important to have a valid Last Will and Testament?
A Last Will and Testament ensures that your assets are distributed according to YOUR wishes and provides peace of mind for you and your family. Without a valid Will, your estate may be subject to state law, which can lead to delays and your property/assets being distributed in ways you did not desire them to be.

📅 When should you prepare your Last Will and Testament?
Now!
Age should never be your deciding factor. If you have:
✔️ Property
✔️ Assets
✔️ Minor Children
✔️ Adult Children
…then now is the time to prepare your Will. ✅

Whether you’re in your 30s or your 80s, it’s never too early, or too late, to have your Will prepared. Your Will can always be reviewed and updated after major life events to reflect your current wishes.

👶Do you have minor children? Who will take care of them if something happens to you (and your spouse or the other parent)?
You can designate a Tutor in your Last Will and Testament, choosing which individual you want as the legal guardian of your minor child(ren) after your death.

A Louisiana notarial testament must meet VERY specific legal requirements and formalities. Failure to have your Will properly prepared and executed could result in it being declared invalid after your passing.

As my notary business continues to grow, I’m looking to build a small team of dependable individuals who can serve as “on-call document witnesses” when needed.✍🏼

This is not a full-time or scheduled position. I typically know a few days in advance when I need witnesses, and appointments usually last 15–30 minutes. Compensation is generally $10–$15 per appointment, depending on the document.

Most appointments are in the Mansura/Hessmer area of Avoyelles Parish, so I’m especially looking for individuals who live nearby.

• A stay-at-home parent with a flexible schedule
• Someone with a flexible work schedule who enjoys helping others

Requirements:

Last night I had a thought pop up in my head, wondering if anyone who was affected by the flood in Avoyelles Parish would need a Notary to sign off on any insurance or other flood related documents. I didn't take action at the time, but today a gentleman came to my office to have his truck title notarized for the Insurance company due to the truck being declared a total loss. That's when it hit me again; people actually might have a need for this. With this said, if you were affected by the flood and have any FLOOD RELATED documents that need to be notarized (vehicle, house, insurance, etc.) please reach out to me. I would like to provide this service to you and your family at no charge. I know there is a lot everyone is having to deal with right now, if this can take one small burden off of you, it would be my pleasure. When choosing a notary, don't be afraid to ask questions about our experience, the type of documents we have experience preparing, and even references if you desire. You want someone who truly understands the language and is experienced in preparing the document you need.

With over a decade of document preparation experience, 10 years working in a law office and 2 years being a Notary, I've prepared property transfers such as Acts of Donation, Cash Deeds and Boundary Agreements; I also have experience in drafting Last Will & Testaments, and Powers of Attorney.
