Today at SIUC ROTC’s annual award ceremony, our very own SMP Cadet Ian Hulsey was awarded the Silver ROTC Medal from The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. Cadet Hulsey was handpicked out of his peers for his outstanding performance in all areas of leadership, academics, military bearing, and dedication to service.

This award is a true reflection of Cadet Hulsey’s hard work, professionalism, and commitment to excellence both in ROTC and the Illinois Army National Guard. His drive to lead from the front and continue improving himself and those around him sets the standard for what it means to be part of Whiskey Company.

Our April drill weekend has been successfully completed! This weekend, we sharpened our room-clearing skills and had some fun putting them to the test with paintball training. It was a great opportunity to build teamwork, confidence, and readiness while keeping morale high.

We would also like to give a huge shoutout to our newest company graduates and the first recipients of our very own Whiskey Company challenge coin: Private Cowger, Private Heistand, Private Quiroz, Private Mix, and Private Moore. Outstanding work and well deserved recognition!

On top of that, we were proud to recognize several promotions this drill weekend as multiple soldiers advanced in rank. Congratulations to all who were recognized! Your hard work and dedication continue to set the standard.

It is with great pride that we here at Whiskey Company would like to recognize SFC Chrisman on his newly awarded Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. SFC Chrisman, while being a staple in his community and going above and beyond his duties as an RRNCO, has also served consistently as a volunteer firefighter within his community.

He has been integral in responding to numerous emergency calls, protecting lives and property, and providing support during times of crisis. His willingness to answer the call demonstrates a rare level of selfless service and dedication to others.

SFC Chrisman’s commitment to both his Soldiers and his hometown reflects the very best qualities of leadership, courage, and community service. His actions have made a lasting impact on those around him and serve as an example for others to follow. We are proud to recognize his accomplishments and congratulate him on this well-deserved honor.

Another great team meeting in the books❗️
This month the Whiskey Company team spent our monthly meeting at the one and only SIUC! After a quick meeting on our next steps for the month we were accompanied by the Undergraduate Student Government President Lydia Phelps for a fantastic tour around campus! If you’re looking to find a way to continue your education and serve your community give us a holler!🪖

Another great drill at Whiskey Company is complete! This drill, we went over Land Navigation, held promotions for 3 soldiers, welcomed 5 into our ranks, and held a battle handoff ceremony for 4 W co graduates!
•Our highest performers managed to find every point and complete the entire Land Navigation course within 30 minutes!!
•Congratulations to Private Russel, Private Washington, and Private Clevenger on the promotion!!!
•Finally, a special shoutout to our Whiskey Co grads and especially to Private Reed, who was also the Distinguished Honor Graduate for his AIT training cycle!
