Congrats to our Foundation member, Pepperell Police Chief David Scott retiring after more than three decades of service to the town! He’s been an integral member of our Foundation to support police training for several years and was a control chief for several key NEMLEC teams. We wish him all the best!

Police Chiefs from across Middlesex and Essex Counties will be walking the beat again this weekend, in support of their colleague Pepperell Police Chief David Scott.

Chiefs will be joining Chief Scott's 2021 Jimmy Fund Walk to benefit cancer research, while the NEMLEC Police Foundation is raising money to support Chief Scott and his family as he continues to undergo treatment for stage four colon cancer, which he was diagnosed with last winter.

Chief Scott and his supporters have already raised over $40,000, or 40 times his initial goal of $1,000, on behalf of The Jimmy Fund.

The walk takes place this Sunday, Oct. 3. Though the walk usually follows routes along the Boston Marathon course from Hopkinton to Boston, walkers will be empowered to choose their own locations this year due to COVID-19.

Funds raised will support critical cancer research and innovative pediatric and adult patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Please help support this noble cause, and a great member of our NEMLEC Foundation team - Chief Scott - GO TEAM 14!!!
