Little Free Library Book Drop & Sunday Shelfie

A bunch of children's books found new readers last week, but there are still plenty of fun reads for kids on the Pre-K-Middle Grade shelf so I'm waiting a bit to add more.

Book Drops to the YA-Adult Shelf:

✨️ Fast and Fastidious- I read this Pride and Prejudice meets the Fast and the Furious historical fiction & wanted to give someone else a chance to read it too. The pacing is a bit slow, but the plotline is solid with a brilliant FMC & likable MMC.

✨️ Clock Dance- Haven't read this but looks like a great beach read!

✨️ Silver Lady - A historical romance with an irresistible cover!

➡️ Swipe to see the full Sunday Shelfie & all the books currently on the Little Free Library shelves

➡️ The door is now the Trinket Exchange (swipe to see it) so bookmarks and stickers have been moved next to the board books bin 📚

❓️ What book would you grab off our shelves?

The Trinket Exchange has expanded!

I've added another pre-stocked box plus additional shelf bins. Instead of one door shelf for trinket swapping, we now have three!

Thank you to whoever left the adorable knitted buddy on the shelf! I LOVED finding that this morning ❤️🥳

I made a few backpack/purse charms, beaded earrings, and friendship bracelets for the Exchange. Plus added more tiny critters and a few enameled pins

Swipe to get a peek at those.

➡️ The stickers and bookmarks are now located next to the board books bin on the bottom of the Little Free Library

Stop by to take a book, leave a book and swap some trinkets!

Come restock the Secret Garden Little Free Library with me....

One of my Unofficially Adopted Little Free Libraries is down a wooded trail. The foot traffic means the library empties fast.

I added 20 books today, and by the time I returned from a meander further down the trail some books had already been taken.

It takes community effort to keep these libraries filled!

Same Book, Different Day

New England weather is like a menopausal woman. Freezing one moment, hot the next.

Yesterday it was snuggly blankets and sweatshirts while reading. Today it's short sleeves and sunglasses.

Same book, different day: Fast and Fastidious, a Regency Era fanfic blend billed as Pride and Prejudice meets the Fast and the Furious.

The fastest thing about this book so far is the carriage racing. The rest of the storyline is slow paced. Maybe that's the Pride and Prejudice vibe?

Woke up to deer grazing, turkeys waddling and hummingbirds buzzing my face wanting to know where their feeder was. I always wait to put it out until I know they've arrived. It's out now!

❓️What's your weekend been like? Fast or slow vibes?

Skully wanted to get in on the Little Free Library Week celebration so I let him be in charge of this week's book picks for the restock.

He went all gung-ho choosing books and had so much fun filling the shelves. Perhaps overfilling them a bit because there are 66 books on Gram's Garden Little Free Library's shelves!

Swipe to see Skully's new additions then stop on by to choose your next great read!

➡️ The Trinket Exchange is a big hit and lots of swaps were made this week! The box is full and waiting for you to come make an exchange.

➡️ I gave the LFL a good cleaning today. Everything was removed, shelves scrubbed and everything put back again. A good spring cleaning was a must!

Thank you for the books you added to Gram's Garden Little Free Library!

I'm going to have to read The Dueling Duchess and Boxing Baroness before letting someone sn**ch them up. The Regency era romances, especially with women behaving badly (according to High Society) plus the titles themselves are irresistible to me!

These will make their way back onto the shelves soon.

A modern retelling of The Philadelphia Story for those who enjoy love triangles, fast-paced humorous novels

📚✨️📚✨️📚✨️📚

Cedric and I were excited to receive this arc of Wasp's Nest from our friends at and cannot wait to start reading it before sharing to Gram's Garden Little Free Library!

Add this to your Most Anticipated Summer Reads list if you enjoy modern retellings, love triangles LGBQTIA representation and fast-paced, humorous novels.

On Sale: 6/30/26
Page Count: 272
Author: Kat Stoddard

About this book:

A modern retelling of The Philadelphia Story, Wasp's Nest is a witty, gripping love triangle that unfolds over the course of seven chaotic days at a Cape Cod wedding.

Tess wants nothing more than for her upcoming society wedding to overshadow the failure of her first marriage. Her fiancé Warren, a steady soon-to-be state senator, is nothing like her first husband. Tess’s relationship with working-class artist Peter was a passionate crash-and-burn, and a chapter of her life that she's ready to forget.

Peter hasn’t seen Tess in five years, so he’s shocked to receive an invitation to her wedding. But he’s moved on too, and it wouldn’t hurt to prove it by showing up with a handsome younger man as his plus-one. Mitch, an aspiring writer, is intrigued by Peter and jumps at the chance to pry into the lives of his Waspy ex-in-laws. What he’s not bargained for is developing serious feelings for both Peter and Peter’s ex—Tess, the bride. But Peter and Tess have complex desires of their own, and Mitch is dangerously close to uncovering them.

Wasp's Nest is a fast-paced, humorous, and heartfelt exploration of the shape of our affections that proves real love triangles connect on all sides.
