Apple Valley Woodworks

My son and his wife were about to move to a new home and the contractor had left a pile of 2 x10 cutoffs at the site. They were all over 2 feet long so I started thinking about some way to utilize all that scrap rather than have it go to a landfill. I came up with a design for a child's stool so I could make something for my new (2 year old) grandson out of the materials from his new home. That stool was such a big hit with the family and friends that I have since made hundreds of them and shipped them all over the USA. Along the way I came up with some other products such as savings banks, toy trucks, mantle clocks, Nativity Stables, doll furniture (cradle and bed), and a few larger projects such as end tables, barrister bookcases, and full size cradles for infants.
