ATTENTION NWCS EMPLOYEES: Have you voted yet? 🥧

Fun Day is THIS Wednesday, which means time is running out to decide who’s getting the pie! 😆

Here’s where the race stands right now:

🥇 Tori Clements
🥈 Shane Lane
🥉 Cassie Jaco
4️⃣ Christina Johnson

But those rankings can still change, so keep those votes coming!

Vote for your favorite NWCS nurse with spare change in the voting bins, or use Venmo. Remember to include the nurse’s name with your Venmo payment so your votes count for the right person.

🪙 1 penny = 1 vote
🪙 1 dime = 10 votes
💵 $1 = 100 votes

Every vote also supports the Employee Relations Committee and the activities they provide for our employees throughout the year. 💙💚

Who do YOU want to see win?

The winner will be announced and receive their pie in the face at lunch during Wednesday’s Block Party!

🎉 Congratulations, Brooklyn! August Employee of the Month

This is what makes us, us.

At Northwest Community Services, the little things are often the big things.

It’s stepping in when help is needed. Making a house feel like a home. Helping the people we support get out into the community, make choices and enjoy the things that matter to them. It’s showing up with a smile, taking initiative and being someone others know they can count on.

That’s exactly what Brooklyn Lloyd, SCA, brings to her work every day.

Brooklyn was recognized for the way she demonstrates Respect, Teamwork and Choice in the way she supports others, works alongside her team and helps make sure the individuals she serves have meaningful choices and opportunities.

Congratulations, Brooklyn, on being named our August Employee of the Month! We’re so glad you’re part of what makes NWCS, NWCS. 💜👏

🥧 It’s time to vote for your favorite NWCS nurse! 💙💚

Our annual Pie in the Face fundraiser is back for this year’s Block Party, and this time our nurses are taking center stage.

This is all about celebrating our team, having a little fun and raising money for the Employee Relations Committee, which helps fund activities that make our coworking community a little more fun throughout the year.

Every vote counts:

🪙 1 penny = 1 vote
🪙 1 dime = 10 votes
💵 $1 = 100 votes

You can vote in the collection bins located in the Providence day hall outside Accounting and in the Commerce Building front lobby, or scan the QR code to vote through Venmo. If you use Venmo, be sure to include the nurse’s name with your payment.

The nurse with the most votes will receive the honor 😂 of a pie in the face during lunch at the Block Party on Wednesday, October 7.

And yes, we really do ❤️ our nurses.

Vote early. Vote often. Let the games begin! 🥧😆

NWCS women and men love getting out in their communities and meeting new friends! This past summer, Sandy and Steve Hisle of Tower Realty in Marshall invited NWCS individuals out to their home to enjoy the pool and some fishing in their pond! Thank you Sandy and Steve for having us. Everyone had a great time!

Apparently, there are A LOT of ways to know you’re a DSP. 😆

We asked a few people to finish the sentence, and their answers did not disappoint.

Now it’s your turn:

🎥 You know you’re a DSP when…

Drop your answer in the comments below! Funny, heartfelt, ridiculously specific… we want to hear it.

And don’t forget, your comment is also your entry to win two tickets to the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium! 🦒🎟️

So let’s hear it, DSPs. Finish the sentence. 👇Missouri Department of Mental Health

We asked Becky LaGore from Quality Assurance to give us her “You know you’re a DSP when…”

Long story short, we knew this one was going to be good. 🥚😉

Becky spent seven years as a DSP before moving into Quality Assurance, so there’s a lot of experience behind the laughs in this one.

And that’s all we’re giving away.

Except maybe this: 🧈

Watch to the end. 💙💚 Missouri Department of Mental Health Becky Innes LaGore
