Not sure what to do with your expired naloxone? Here are some steps you can take:

1. We ALWAYS recommend using non-expired product, however, if for some reason you are unable to access to new naloxone, keep it. Studies have shown that it is still effective several years after the expiratory date.
2. If you do decide to toss it, it can go right into the garbage. No special treatment needed to destroy it.
3. Donate it! Reach out to distribution locations- we can use it for training, demonstration, etc.
