You still have time to make it downtown for the 4th Annual Maysville International Festival sponsored by the Maysville Commission on Human Rights.
The information along the Passport Trail was very interesting and we were able to learn about many different traditions, foods, artwork and customs!
It’s always great to be able to stop in and see the stores downtown as well and visit with so many of you along the way.
What a gorgeous day to get out and enjoy this beautiful weather!

Tonight was the first of three of the Mason County Health Coalition’s Community Support Services Subcommittee roundtable discussions focused on homelessness in our community. Tonight’s topic was based around reducing the stigma and meeting our unhoused individuals where they are and supporting them throughout our community.

I was impressed with the individuals who showed up tonight to take part in the conversations and sharing of ideas. The more people who make an effort to make positive changes in our community, the better!

Thank you to Melissa Greenwell and the rest of the Mason County Health Coalition for their efforts to get the ball rolling on these important conversations.

I am looking forward to the next sessions in October.

What a beautiful opening weekend at the R Farm! The weather couldn’t be better to take in some awesome vendors, tasty treats, Hillbilly Basketball, and other games.
Many thanks to the Robinson family for putting this on year after year so we all have access to a pumpkin patch in our backyard.

Like Mr. Robinson says… “perhaps a day in the country is all you really need”!

I strongly encourage you to head downtown this weekend and attend the 22nd Annual Pig out Festival. You never know who you may run into… like Maysville’s own Dolly!!!
I enjoyed catching up with friends I haven’t seen in years, and of course sampling some delicious bbq throughout the night.

Pigout Festival is dedicated to bringing our community together while raising funds to support local children and organizations that serve the needs of youth in our area.

Recently, proceeds from Pigout in Maysville, Inc. were provided to the following local organizations:

* Tri County Shriners
* A League of Their Own
* Venture Productions
* Miracle Field of Buffalo Trace
* CASA
* Sprinkles of Hope
* Mason County Search and Rescue
* Lighthouse Farm
* Mason County Food Pantry
* Maysville Hands of Hope
* Imagine Foundation

Thank you to the many people who helped put this event together year after year!

If you haven’t made it out to Germantown this weekend, there’s still plenty of time to make it to the Germantown Court Days event happening until 5:00pm today.
They have everything you are looking for including tools, collectibles, homemade desserts, clothing, and MORE.

I’d like to thank my buddy Dwayne Sharp and Kami Jarrells and the rest of the planning crew for putting this on. I know it takes a lot of work behind the scenes and I appreciate their dedication to Germantown.

I got to talk to a lot of people today and hear their ideas for the Germantown area. I appreciate them for taking the time to speak with me.
Looking forward to working with them to get everything accomplished!

It was truly an honor to attend the Simon Kenton VFW Post 2734 dedication of the Veterans Hall of Fame Monument this afternoon.

Seeing the names of local Mason County veterans who continued serving their communities after they finished their service was an amazing thing to witness!

The mural that the VFW commissioned to celebrate all the Veterans and service members who have made this country free for 250 years is also something really wonderful to see and experience.

I sure was impressed attending the annual Maysville Chrome & Cruise Classic Car Show in Downtown Maysville today. Even better was the fact that it benefits the Cancer Fighters United helping those affected by cancer in our local community.
This organization does amazing things for so many during some of the hardest days of their lives.
It was a beautiful day for a car show and I loved seeing so many of you out and about town today enjoying everything that makes Maysville great!

Want to personally thank my good friends Owen McNeill and Tommy Marshall for coming out this morning and supporting our Mason County Royals Tennis Team “Pickleball in the Park” fundraiser!
We may have heard from a few players that we are in need of FOUR MORE COURTS!
What a beautiful morning for pickleball and supporting a great cause.

I love when our local businesses support our school system! Big thanks to Hippie Burger in Maysville for hosting Mason County Schools Staff and Family members for trivia night! I enjoyed playing trivia with my daughter and parents even though we came up short on the last question! I didn’t walk away empty handed though as this huge container of school supplies will help the students I serve at the highschool and middle school throughout the year.

A huge thank you for your donation to Mason County Athletics.

Together we win!! 🏆
