Proud to bring this one to the board. Last Thursday, the Pike County Board of Supervisors approved my request to transfer a surplus road department dump truck to the Town of Summit for $10.

The truck was no longer of use to the county, but it can still do real work on Summit's drainage and streets. Summit residents are Pike County residents too.

This was done by the book under Miss. Code § 31-7-13(m)(vi), and the terms are recorded in the board's minutes.

Thank you to my colleagues on the board and to the Pike County Road Department for making it happen. When local governments work together, our constituents win.
