This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating the incredible moms at Shiloh Place. 💚
Every day our Shiloh Place moms are working hard, pursuing their education, and building brighter futures for their families. Their strength, resilience, and love are nothing short of inspiring.
But don’t just take our word for it…
We asked some of the kids at Shiloh Place to tell us about their moms. Their answers (and artwork!) say it best. 🖍️💕
Swipe to see the love through their eyes.

“Before my time with Shiloh, my life was marked by uncertainty and unexpected turns without the knowledge or resources to tackle them.
During my time with Shiloh, that perspective began to shift. I was still striving for independence, but I learned what it truly meant to lean on God—to trust His timing, remain diligent, and persevere when things felt unclear. It became a season of growth, humility, and deepened faith. Through it all, I learned not only to allow God to lift me from the mud, but also how to set my son up for success in life and in faith.
Now, after my time with Shiloh, I find myself in a place of reflection and gratitude. It feels less like survival and more like living—I’m no longer just pushing through life, but genuinely enjoying it and embracing the peace that comes with trust and purpose.”
-Sierra, Shiloh Place Graduate
We’re so encouraged to share that, thanks to 20 generous donors, we’ve already raised $16,735 toward our spring appeal. We are incredibly grateful for this strong start and the community that continues to rally around the moms and children of Shiloh Place.
We invite you to be part of this impact by making a spring giving donation by April 27th! Every dollar moves us closer to our goal of $25,000!

Spring! The seasons are changing, and Spring is here!
As we prepare for the fullness of Spring, the completion of our new buildings, and the fruit of summer with moms and their children moving in, we ask that you continue to partner with us. New growth is only possible when the roots are deep and nutrients are flowing.
This spring, we have a goal of raising $25,000 by April 27th in order to help prepare for these new steps. Will you prayerfully consider a one-time gift to help us meet this goal?

With full hearts, we share that our CEO, Eppy Thern, is retiring from Shiloh Place this fall.
For the past 13 years, Eppy has led this ministry with unwavering faith, courage, and trust in the Lord’s guidance. Under her leadership, Shiloh Place has grown in impact, reach, and transformational outcomes for the single mothers and children we serve.
Please join us in reflecting on the incredible growth of Shiloh Place over the last 13 years as we honor Eppy’s faithful leadership and lasting legacy. Her “yes” to God has changed generations.
If you missed reading her full letter, we invite you to join our email list through the link below!
Thank you, Eppy, for leading with grace and pointing us always back to Christ.đź’š
"Eppy Thern….. there are so many adjectives to describe this Shiloh Place leader who is also a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a mentor and my friend. God gave her a heart for single moms so many years ago, and she followed His call. She has had a zealous and tenacious ministry as she has led and grown Shiloh Place, never wavering from the truth of Scripture. Words could never express the impact that she has had on generations of families here in Collin County. I count it as an honor to have served beside her as a Board Member."

“It will never be easy, but neither is motherhood. If you’re capable of that, imagine what you are capable of through God.”
— Shiloh Place Mom Graduate
When a mom graduates from Shiloh Place, she completes an exit survey. The insight, strength, and faith reflected in her words are a powerful reminder of the transformation that happens here.
