Packed house. Great weather. Plenty of cowboy hats. 🤠
Day 1 of Rodeo Celina was one for the books!
Sheriff Skinner, our Reserve Deputies, and Citizens on Patrol spent the day visiting with families, meeting members of the community, and enjoying everything that makes rodeo season in Texas special. From smiling kids getting up close to the horses to catching up with friends and neighbors, there was no shortage of great memories made.
Events like these remind us why we love serving Collin County. Strong communities are built through connections, and we appreciate every handshake, conversation, and photo opportunity throughout the day.
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make Opening Day such a success. We are proud to be part of a community that shows up, supports one another, and knows how to have a good time.
We’ll see y’all back at the rodeo! 🐴⭐

Great work by our Marine Safety Unit and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Park Rangers at East Fork Park today. A capsized jet ski rider was located safe and accounted for.
Wear your life jacket, check your equipment, and stay sharp on the water. Fish belong upside down, not folks. 🎣

Big congratulations are in order for two of our own!
At the beginning of May, Capt. Edwards was officially appointed as President of the Texas Jail Association. This is a tremendous honor and a reflection of his leadership, professionalism, and dedication to the corrections profession across the great State of Texas.
We’d also like to congratulate Capt. Christensen on his appointment as Secretary of the Texas Jail Association. His commitment to service and excellence continues to make Collin County proud.
Please join us in celebrating these outstanding accomplishments. We are proud to have both of these leaders representing the Collin County Sheriff’s Office on the state level. Texas jails are in good hands! 🇨🇱

Last week, we had a great time celebrating National Correctional Officers Week at the Collin County Detention Facility.
Detention supervisors coordinate this year’s staff appreciation efforts, and we are grateful for the support shown to our detention staff throughout the week.
From barbecue lunches and homemade desserts to raffle drawings, team bonding, and a few well-earned laughs, including some very enthusiastic pie-in-the-face moments, the week was full of good food and much-needed appreciation.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the week special. Your kindness and support helped us recognize the hard work, dedication, and professionalism of the men and women who serve inside the Collin County Detention Facility every day.
To our detention staff: thank you for the work you do, the professionalism you bring, and the role you play in keeping our facility safe and operating every day.
