Since the release of the new book about Hannah Duston, there has been an up-tick of curiosity seekers to Sugar Ball Island in Boscawen, New Hampshire.
“Hannah: one woman’s quest for vengeance and enlightenment,” retells the story of a local folklore legend who beat the odds in only to survive a horrific ordeal after being abducted by Abenaki Indian raiders in 1697.
It is a true story, one with meany questions, the most prominent; “How far would a mother go to get revenge before she becomes a monster?”
It is a dark tale during dark times..

“HATE” is not history, it is the opposite. Vandalism is a shortcut to education !
Hannah Duston survived a massacre in which 27 settlers were killed (15 of them children). The Abenakis also killed her newborn daughter by smashing her head against a tree. Hannah was then enslaved with the surviving settlers.
Eventually she escaped with the other captives and they killed several Abenakis in the process.
I'm sick of these worthless troglodytes that can't appreciate their own history.
