Another day at work…

When work takes you away from home and find the local parish to celebrate Assumption of Blessed Mother Mary!!!

A couple of months ago, I was asked to build new presiders chairs, to be placed in our newly renovated sanctuary of our home parish church. Here I have one main presiders chair along with two deacon chairs. Made of red oak, with hand routed details.

Sometimes the “fun” turns into frustration, pushing your skills and knowledge to the max! Only option is to keep going…

Next project on the table. Ready for some milling and gluing..

First stain on.

Three quarters of the way thru. This is my take on an arts and crafts rocking chair. Have some minor adjustments and then final sanding and finishing.

Continuing along with progress on the project at hand.

Dry fit is a success! On to the next steps…

New project underway. This one is a first for me. Maybe more like this on the horizon.

After years of having the Leigh Dovetail jig sit unused in my workshop, finally got around to conquering the all elusive half blind dovetail. It’s not perfect, but with some minute adjustments, I’ll have that thing dialed in. Now I’m ready for the next project, unfortunately my day job is going to take me away for a few days…
