West Memphis was honored to welcome Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission and DuShun Scarbrough, whose leadership helped shine a light on the importance of experiencing the Nonviolent Summit. Thanks to Sgt.Bolton and Trooper Cheers for allowing the kids to experience a piece of Law Enforcement in the classrooms.

On Tuesday, December 9, the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission, a division of the Arkansas Department of Education, will conduct a Non-Violence Youth Summit at the Academies of West Memphis. The event will include student seminars and a general session from 1:30 to 3:00 PM in the Devil Dome, with participation from , , , and , and will be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
