All are invited to the Tipton County Museum, this afternoon, May 24, 2026 at 2pm, as the Tipton County Veterans Council, the Tipton County Museum, the Tipton County's veterans as we remember and honor those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Come listen as we specifically honor three of Tipton County's young men who gave their lives in service - PFC Charles Porter Smith- KIA WWII, SGT Otha Revelle Vinceson - MIA/KIA Korea, and SP4 Odell Craig - KIA Vietnam. The Honorable Debra Moody (TN R-Covington/D-81) will be the guest speaker.

The Tipton County Museum has had a very busy day today! The River City Chapter, NSDAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) put up a great exhibit in honor of America’s 250th celebration and Robin Wallace donated to the museum a collection of artifacts from his grandfather’s, D. B. Rice, service as a Tipton County Deputy sheriff and later Sheriff of Tipton County (1924-1928) and then as a Deputy Warden at Brushy Mountain Penitentiary. What a wonderful day to celebrate history!!
