πŸ“š BES BOOK FAIR IS COMING! πŸ“š

Our BES Book Fair is coming up October 21–28, and we are excited to help our students find some great books!

πŸ›‘ WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! πŸ›‘

The Book Fair cannot run without parent/family volunteers, and we need your help! If you are able to volunteer for any amount of time on any of the Book Fair days, please email me at [email protected] so we can discuss a time that works for you.

Even if you can only help for part of a day, your help would make a huge difference! We need volunteers to help students shop, keep things organized, and make sure the Book Fair runs smoothly.

πŸ’³ Ways Students Can Pay

Students can purchase books using:

* πŸ’΅ Cash
* πŸ’³ Card
* πŸ“± eWallet

We are NOT able to accept checks at this time. Because we do not know the exact total until students check out, we cannot accept a check if the amount is higher or lower than the final purchase total, and we are unable to provide change for checks.

πŸ›’ Other Ways to Shop & Support BES

There are several ways families can participate in the Book Fair:

πŸ’° Set Up an eWallet

🀝 Share the Fair
This allows the community to add money to a school fund and covers students if they go over the amount of money they bring. It can also help some students get something from the fair if they don’t have money.

πŸ›οΈ Online Book Fair Shop
Families can also shop online with their children! When you use our BES Book Fair link, your online purchases still count toward the proceeds earned by our school.

We appreciate all of our BES families for supporting our library and helping us put more books into the hands of our students! β€οΈπŸ“š

And again, if you can volunteer during the Book Fair, please email me at [email protected]. We would truly appreciate your help!

πŸ“šπŸŽ„ Help Us Give the Gift of Reading This Christmas! πŸŽ„πŸ“š

The BES Library is working on a very special Christmas project, and we would love the help of our amazing community!

Our goal is to collect enough gently used, hardback picture books for every student at Brighton Elementary, Pre-K through 5th grade, to receive a book of their very own for Christmas. πŸŽπŸ“–

We are hoping to collect gently used hardback picture books that are still in good condition and would be exciting for a child to receive. Since students will be opening their books and reading them during a special classroom activity, we are specifically looking for picture books rather than chapter books. We would also appreciate hardback books rather than paperbacks whenever possible.

Our plan is to wrap each book and give students a β€œblind date with a book” experience. Students will open a wrapped book without knowing what is inside and then get to enjoy reading their surprise book during the lesson.

Because our students range from Pre-K all the way through 5th grade, we would love to have a wide variety of picture books at different reading levels, ages, themes, and interests. A picture book that is perfect for a kindergartener may be very different from one that catches the attention of a fifth grader, so variety will be especially helpful!

If you have a collection of gently used hardback picture books at home that your family has outgrown, we would be incredibly grateful if you would consider donating them to BES. Some of those books that have been loved in your home could become a very special Christmas gift for one of our students. πŸŽ„πŸ“š

Books can be sent to Brighton Elementary School and directed to the BES Library.

Thank you so much for helping us make this project possible! And please feel free to share this post with friends, family, and anyone who may have some well-loved children’s books looking for a new home. β€οΈπŸ“–πŸŽ

ETA: We would also happily accept wrapping paper donations as well! 🎁
