I was honored to help represent Mesa at the National League of Cities conference, where our community was recognized as a Top Ten Digital City for 2025.
This award from the Center for Digital Government highlights how Mesa is using technology and data to improve transparency, strengthen community engagement, and expand digital access for residents and businesses alike. I was proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting for the $10 million expansion of Mekong Plaza in Mesa’s Asian District. This project adds 32,000 square feet of new retail and restaurant space, supports 200 new jobs in our community, and strengthens one of Mesa’s most vibrant cultural and commercial destinations.
Thank you to the business owners, workers, and partners whose investment continues to make the Asian District a regional draw for food, shopping, and culture. I can’t wait to see families and visitors enjoying the new restaurants, shops and grocery options.

It was great to spend my first full day on Mesa City Council giving back to those in need. Yesterday, I joined my fellow Councilmembers, dedicated volunteers and the City’s Engineering Department to collect frozen turkeys for families struggling to put food on the table this holiday season.
Now in its 17th year, the Turkey Tuesday donation drive supports the United Food Bank and its mission to fight food insecurity – especially during the holiday season. Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered or helped spread the word. Your generosity reflects the very best of Mesa.

I had such a great time participating in G.A.I.N. (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods)! I always enjoy the chance to connect with residents, chat about what’s happening in , and hear about the things that matter most to our community.
G.A.I.N. is such an important event for bringing neighbors together and building strong, safe, and connected communities. When we come together to celebrate and support one another, we make Mesa an even better place to live. 💙
